And there are plenty of characters referenced! The dwarfs pack a punch and add a bit of action to movie in some pretty comical fight scenes that are perfect for young viewers. There's been some criticism I've seen of some older marketing of the film as 'fat shaming,' but I don't see it that way in the movie itself. Both impacted my the power of magic, their exterior has been transformed, but they both still cling to who they are on the inside. Along the way, the two main characters, Red Shoes and Merlin, reflect a lot on appearances and who you really are as a person.

In this fairy tale mash-up we see a lot of characters who aren't truly who they appear to be - Red Shoes is really Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs are really handsome and brave princes, and there's even a few characters that surprise you at the end.
